The wolf in the logo above won’t be the only one howling at the moon later this summer. Today, ESPN announced its first late-night entertainment show, UNITE, will debut on ESPNU Monday, Aug. 27 at midnight ET.

Airing live from ESPN’s Bristol, Conn. studios Monday through Friday, the show will tackle sports and pop culture news with an often irreverent take on social media-driven sports happenings.

In the “Front & Center” podcast above, we caught up with the show’s coordinating producer Yaron Deskalo, an Emmy Award-winning producer who previously worked on E:60, to find out ESPN’s approach to late-night entertainment and what viewers can expect to see with the launch of UNITE on ESPNU in six weeks.
