SportsCenter’s Steve Levy donates $40K to alma mater

SportsCenter anchor Steve Levy loves to give back. A member of the SUNY Oswego Class of 1987, Levy sponsored a 24-Hour Challenge to the Oswego college community to help kick off the university’s historic $40 million fundraising campaign.

Levy’s challenge: “If 750 people make a gift to SUNY Oswego on Thursday, Oct. 16, I will match the contributions with a $40,000 donation to the college.”

A total of 1,163 people made gifts to SUNY Oswego, raising $199,745.73 in 24 hours, in response to Levy’s challenge.

Levy was in Oswego and participated in several events and panels across the campus to kick off the campaign:
