Monday Lineup: Tebow debuts on GMA; 11 ESPN moments from the weekend
Today marked SEC Network analyst Tim Tebow’s Good Morning America debut as a contributor to the Emmy Award-winning morning news program and its “Motivate Me Monday” series.
There are few better to share stories featuring individuals and their amazing stories of triumph than Tebow, the ESPN and SEC Network Analyst who was the first-ever college sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy.
“We will be sharing stories that are uplifting and motivating and inspiring,” said Tebow, who spent the weekend at his alma mater, the University of Florida, as part of SEC Network’s traveling pre-game show, SEC Nation. “These are real, true heroes and to be able to share their stories with the rest of the world and have the world see these positive stories that can inspire and uplift people is amazing.”
Tebow’s first piece introduces viewers to Pennsylvania’s Deven Jackson, a double amputee youth football player with prosthetic legs.
“Deven is an amazing kid who has overcome more obstacles then I’ll ever have to go through in my life,” Tebow said. “He is someone that needs to have his story told.”
Tebow is excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with the GMA team that includes Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Amy Robach and Ginger Zee.
“The people have been great – relationships mean a lot to me – and they’re great people to be around,” he said. “But also what I get to do is something that is near and dear to my heart. That’s really what I want my life to be about – is bringing faith, hope and love to people that need a brighter day; and a lot of people do.”
