Fan Central Mailbag: “Reverse Mirror” 101; MNF ads; MLB postseason impact games

Before we get to your latest questions, a quick reminder/tutorial about how “reverse mirror” games work ahead of tomorrow’s noon ET games on ABC and ESPN2. To quickly summarize, during most weeks, at noon or 3:30 PM, there will be two games shown. Depending upon where you live, one game will be on ESPN2 and the other will be on ABC.

Below are the coverage maps that show which channel(s) will show Saturday’s noon games – Boise State at Connecticut and Kent State at Ohio State – based on your location. ESPN.com posts the coverage maps each week and Fan Central tweets and post these maps every Friday, so be sure to follow us on Twitter (@ESPN_FanCentral) and like our Facebook page.

Now on to your questions. . .

Random question: I was wondering whether the Brandon Marshall Monday Night Football commercial is regional or national? – Sam
No problem Sam, we live for random questions. The Marshall ad is part of the national “No Other Night is Monday Night” campaign which features Marshall, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Robert Griffin III, among others.

Don’t forget, Marshall and the Bears visit the Jets on Monday, Sept. 22 (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Let’s get the [Milwaukee] Brewers on prime time! They’ve been in the race all season long! – Bret
No worries, Bret. ESPN announced this week it has added two Major League Baseball “Postseason Impact” Games to its schedule. First, Tuesday, Sept. 16, in a game that has both NL Wild Card and NL Central implications, your Brewers visit the St. Louis Cardinals (8 p.m., ESPN/WatchESPN). Then on Friday, Sept. 19, the Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals continue their battle for the AL Central title (8 p.m., ESPN2/WatchESPN).

In case you missed it, Baseball Tonight analysts Barry Larkin and Eric Wedge discussed the Brewers’, Royals’ and Athletics’ chances of making the playoffs just a few days ago.
