Seth Greenberg spreads bracket analysis far and wide – all from Bristol
ESPN college basketball analyst and former Division I coach Seth Greenberg rarely says no when asked to talk about his favorite sport. He is one of the busiest analysts on ESPN’s roster, appearing on multiple SportsCenters throughout the day before taking his seat at the anchor desk for pregame, halftime and postgame wrap programs.
The planning for such a tour involves multiple people spending many hours on calls and emails to organize studio use, times for the local stations, lights, audio and fiber wire communication between all parties.
So of course he jumped at the opportunity earlier this week to sit for an hour in one of ESPN’s “bureau cam” rooms to talk hoops with six ABC affiliates across the country. While it was Greenberg’s first “satellite tour,” it was one of many ways ESPN and ABC collaborate throughout the year to give local fans a little extra content – and insight – they can’t get anywhere else.
The end product of an analyst speaking to local sports anchors is worth the time and effort for all involved. The fans get specific talk on their team, an ABC affiliate has exclusive content and Greenberg gets to do what he loves most – talk basketball. He shares more about the experience in the video above.
Greenberg will be one of multiple ESPN analysts breaking down hoops this weekend, concluding with ESPN’s extensive coverage of Selection Sunday. Programming will include studio shows across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU; the ACC, SEC and Sun Belt Championships; and the debut of ESPN Films’ 30 for 30 documentary “Requiem for The BIG EAST.” Full details.
