LHN celebrates Women’s History Month with special, all-female edition of Longhorn Extra

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Longhorn Network on March 6 dedicated its nightly news and information show, Longhorn Extra, to current and past female athletes at the University of Texas. In recognition of the huge impact women continue to have on sports, the LHN team took the concept one step further. The all-women show was entirely produced by women.

The concept was the brainchild of producer Ande Wall and soon had the buy-in of not only the LHN staff, but guests as well. The all-women show was hosted by LHN’s Kaylee Hartung, co-hosted by four-time Olympic gold-medalist and Texas alum Sanya Richards-Ross, and featured some of the most decorated females in Texas athletics.
