#TBT: SportsCenter anthem “Taps” into new generation of musicians for Fan Jam contest

In the mid-90’s, David St. Hubbins from Spinal Tap stopped by and shared his “memories” of the birth of the iconic SportsCenter theme and offered up some new twists on the ‘da da da’ parts.

Here we are in 2014 and we find ourselves drumming – and strumming up – some fresh ideas of our own.

SportsCenter Fan Jam is a new social program for which bands representing different genres were invited to put their own twist on the iconic SportsCenter tune.

Fans can vote on their favorite remake now through Friday via SportsCenter’s Facebook page.
