ESPN commentator and former U.S. Women’s National Soccer team captain Julie Foudy joined the conversation along with U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun, Olympic gold medalist sprinter Allyson Felix, Major League Baseball All-Star Matt Kemp and former Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker. Before the ESPN Town Hall: Kids and Sports telecast, Front Row asks ESPN staffers involved in the forum: What is the one thing you hope viewers will take away from watching this program?

Rob King, Senior Vice President, SportsCenter and News:
“I hope viewers emerge with a deeper understanding of the impact that having – or not having – access to physical activity has on the lives of our kids.”

Mike Greenberg, Host of ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike:
“I hope people will realize this is not a theoretical problem. This is an issue of immediate and pressing importance that will have a significant impact on the world our children and all future generations live in.”

Julie Foudy, Commentator, former U.S. Women’s National Soccer team captain:
“I hope viewers will be moved to play an active role in tackling this issue of increased inactivity with kids. It starts with parents setting good examples, creating fun environments and getting creative with movement. We all can play a part.”
