Former heavyweight champion and recent Broadway star Mike Tyson (“Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth,” his one-man show) visited ESPN’s Los Angeles Production Center last Wednesday to be a guest on SportsNation.

“You never know what’s going to happen when you’ve got Mike Tyson on live TV — this was the champ’s second visit to SportsNation this year and he certainly didn’t disappoint,” said SportsNation coordinating producer Wade Beckett. “Tyson is always a fan favorite and took time prior to the show for pictures with the SportsNation audience.”

“This is the second time I’ve had the privilege of producing a segment for Mike Tyson on SportsNation and he is an absolute pleasure to work with,” said producer Danny Corrales. “He is very thoughtful, articulate and a really good sport. The best part of working with Tyson is crafting questions to allow our audience to gain a unique perspective of him.”

Beckett added: “Mike Tyson told SportsNation host and longtime friend Max Kellerman that if he was coming up through the ranks today, there’s a chance he might have gone the UFC route instead of boxing.”
