Editor’s note: Welcome to another edition of Front Row’s #TBT: Throwback Thursday. The 17th anniversary of the launch of ESPNEWS is Friday. That prompted us to visit the vault to check out TV newsrooms of the past.

There have been some memorable moments in our newsrooms, but none as colorful and fun as the evolution of the newsroom itself. It’s been located in six different spots through ESPN’s 34 years in Bristol, Conn. Each move brought with it the newest technology, more square footage and more efficient workflow processes.

Not only have the TV newsrooms evolved in Bristol, they’ve also opened up in ESPN’s offices in Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mexico City and Buenos Aires.

This slide show below depicts various Bristol newsrooms over the years, from launch until today.
