SEATTLE — This past weekend, ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot visited the Pacific Northwest to be on-site for the Pac-12 showdown between No. 2 Oregon and host No. 16 Washington. The Ducks prevailed, 45-24, and remain unbeaten.

Washington’s Red Square served as a backdrop for the show, which began at 6 a.m. local time. The rainy Saturday morning didn’t dampen fans’ spirits, as they showed up in full force to support their teams, including a representative from Washington State University who escorted the flag on set in hopes that College GameDay will visit Pullman, Wash.

The show featured an exclusive interview with former USC head coach Lane Kiffin, whom the Trojans fired on Sept. 29. Chris Fowler conducted the interview with Kiffin, who later joined Tom Rinaldi and David Pollack on the demo field.

Guest pickers for the day were U.S. Women’s Soccer National Team goalkeeper Hope Solo and Pro Football Hall Of Fame quarterback Warren Moon — both former stars at Washington. Both selected the Huskies to win. Lee Corso chose the Ducks.

This Saturday, College GameDay returns to Clemson, S.C. for the Atlantic Coast Conference clash between Florida State and Clemson. This marks the first time since 2007 that College GameDay has been at one campus in the same season — Clemson served as host before its Aug. 31 game against Georgia.
