Jon Gruden, Keyshawn Johnson to participate in Buccaneers’ 10-year Super Bowl victory celebration

Ten years ago, ESPN’s Jon Gruden and Keyshawn Johnson reached the top of the NFL mountain when they were crowned Super Bowl champions.

During the 2002 season, Gruden coached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the franchise’s only NFL title, while Johnson was the team’s top wide receiver that year.

This weekend, ESPN’s Monday Night Football and Sunday NFL Countdown analysts will return to Tampa when the Bucs celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their Super Bowl XXXVII team.

In all, more than 50 players and coaches will be in town for the festivities, which include a special ceremony at halftime of the Philadelphia Eagles-Buccaneers game on Sunday.

“The 2002 Buccaneers team was very special because it brought together a core group of accomplished veterans committed to a singular goal of winning the Super Bowl,” said Johnson, who will contribute to Countdown on Sunday morning (10 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET, ESPN) from Raymond James Stadium.

“I have so many fond memories of that season and I’m excited about Sunday’s reunion in Tampa — getting together again with my teammates to relive the most memorable season of our NFL careers with the great Bucs fans.”

Following the reunion, Gruden will join the MNF crew for Monday’s big Houston Texans-New England Patriots game from Foxboro (8:30 p.m., ESPN and WatchESPN) as two of the AFC’s best teams try to make their own history in pursuit of Super Bowl XLVII.
