The 2012 MLB regular season has been exciting and unpredictable, offering fans new and emerging superstars like Mike Trout, increased parity with teams like Baltimore and Oakland and enough memorable moments to satisfy any baseball fan.

Through all the excitement, ESPN has been there every step of the way, starting with the first pitch of the season on MLB Opening Night April 4.

Fast forward six months and ESPN has captured everything from live cut-ins to several of the season’s seven no-hitters to Boston Red Sox drama, the Stephen Strasburg saga and the Orioles’ Cinderella run. It has unfolded across dozens of Sunday Night, Monday Night and Wednesday Night games, thousands of MLB highlights on SportsCenter and hundreds of Baseball Tonight hours.

And still, on the dawn of baseball’s regular-season climax, ESPN has two more big stories to tell: the AL East Pennant race and Miguel Cabrera’s Triple Crown chase.

Below is a guide to what’s on – and where – Wednesday night on ESPN networks.

Where to Watch: Triple Crown Chase
ESPN and ESPN2 will provide live cut-ins or in-progress highlights during their game telecasts to Cabrera’s at-bats as he attempts to become the first player since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967 to win what is arguably baseball’s greatest individual achievement. Additionally, live cut-ins will occur on ESPN’s Baseball Tonight in the 10 p.m. hour and ESPN2’s Baseball Tonight in the 11 p.m. hour. Detroit will play at Kansas City at 8:10 p.m.

ESPN MLB Insider Jayson Stark on Triple Crown contender Miguel Cabrera:
“I’ve often said that if I had to pick one hitter to send to home plate with a big game riding on it, I’d pick Cabrera.”

ESPN.com’s MLB section will offer live results via Scoreboard and GameCast.
