Michael Wilbon wears many hats for ESPN as co-host of Pardon the Interruption, a columnist for ESPN.com and ESPNChicago, and as a NBA studio analyst on Kia NBA Countdown.

Even with his busy work schedule, Wilbon has found yet another hat to wear this Saturday — a mortar board, to be specific — when he gives the commencement address at his alma mater, Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

In the Front & Center podcast above, Wilbon discusses the honor of addressing this year’s graduates and the message he plans to impart — though he freely admits he still has to write his speech. He also talks about the Heat-Thunder NBA Finals series and why working on ESPN’s Los Angeles-based NBA studio coverage this season has been such a gratifying experience. Oh, and he gets in a great dig on his PTI partner-in-crime, Tony Kornheiser.
