Reporter Tom Rinaldi discusses ESPN’s Sports Emmy Awards

NEW YORK — On Monday night in Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, the 33rd annual Sports Emmy awards were handed out to deserving winners from all across sports broadcasting.

For ESPN, it was another night of beautiful, collaborative and innovative “music” as the company was honored with six Emmys at the event.

In the video above, reporter Tom Rinaldi, who ascended the stage three times to accept statuettes on behalf of his colleagues, discusses the acknowledgments as well as what makes great storytelling.
