Behind The Scenes

Just 6:30 to glory: Colin Cowherd set to break barriers in the #HerdMile

They said he couldn’t do it. They mocked and ridiculed him. They called him “sinewy.” The called him other things we can’t repeat.

But today, on the track of a local Connecticut high school, Colin Cowherd set out to prove the haters (looking at you, Ryen Russillo) and debaters (thanks for your support, Stephen A. Smith) wrong in their assessments of the radio host’s running prowess.

Results of the run, where Colin will attempt to break the six-minute, 30-seconds barrier, will air on Thursday’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd on ESPNews sometime between 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. ET. Front Row, as well as The Herd Web site, will have full coverage and behind-the-scenes elements after the “historic” run airs.

For now, please enjoy the fancy artwork of ESPN Images’ Kimberly Jarvis, who was able to craftily recreate the movie poster from the 2005 ESPN original film Four Minutes, which chronicled Roger Bannister’s own historic run. (Note: Be sure to click on Kim’s rendering to read the fine print.)
